Terms of Service

Last updated: 31 May 2026

This is a working draft reflecting esouq’s current practices; it should be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before being relied upon.

These terms govern your use of esouq, the B2B marketplace operated by esouq W.L.L. in the Sultanate of Oman. By creating an account or using the platform you agree to them.

1. Who we are

esouq is operated by esouq W.L.L., Muscat, Oman (CR-1284921). We provide a marketplace that connects verified Omani businesses with buyers — we are not a party to the deals struck between them.

2. Accounts & eligibility

You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be legally able to enter contracts in Oman.

3. Business listings & verification

Sellers must hold a valid commercial registration (CR). Our trust team reviews CR documents; the “verified” seal confirms the owner was authenticated, not that any specific product or claim is endorsed by esouq.

4. Transactions between users

Quotes, bookings, and orders are agreements between buyer and seller. esouq facilitates discovery and communication but does not guarantee any product, price, delivery, or outcome. Resolve disputes directly; we may assist where reasonable.

5. Subscriptions & payments

Paid business plans are billed through Thawani, our payment processor. Prices are in Omani Rial (OMR). Subscriptions renew per the plan you choose until cancelled; see your account for current status and invoices.

6. Acceptable use

Do not post unlawful, misleading, infringing, or harmful content; do not misuse another business’s identity; do not attempt to disrupt or scrape the platform. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

7. Content & intellectual property

You retain ownership of content you upload (logos, photos, reels, text) and grant esouq a licence to host and display it to operate the service. The esouq brand and platform remain our property.

8. Disclaimers & liability

The platform is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by Omani law, esouq is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the acts of other users. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Suspension & termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or to comply with the law. Some records may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business needs.

10. Governing law & contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Sultanate of Oman, and disputes fall under the jurisdiction of its courts. Questions: contact us through the Help Centre.
